Your Home Coffee Roasting Guide – Because You Should Enjoy the Full Flavour of Freshly Roasted Coffee

Hello coffee lovers!

Is the COFFEE your favorite beverage? Do you drink coffee each morning and you can not start the day without the lovely aroma of brewed coffee? Do you have a favorite coffee travel mug? …

Well, you know – you are not alone: it is estimated that more than 2 billion cups of coffee are drunk worldwide EVERY day.

Yet, not many people know that the coffee tastes best from 4 hours to 24 hours after roasting and it loses it’s flavor gradually. First, the aroma reduces and overall cup quality will lower after a week. In other words, the coffee is FRESH within a week of roasting, if it is stored properly.

As lighter the roast is, the faster the coffee will loose it’s flavor (within days). Darker roasted coffee will stay fresh for two – three weeks.

Nevertheless, the coffee should be ground when needed, as ground coffee tend to lose very quickly its subtle flavors and aromas when it’s left exposed to the atmosphere.

Have YOU tried a coffee that was roasted yesterday? Are you willing to try roasting coffee yourself?
